MEET THE TEAM
Keith Franklin left the corporate world of hotels in 2006, moved back to his home county of Shropshire and set up as an Independent IT consultant. Based in Shrewsbury, Keith provides a corporate level of IT support for farms, rural businesses, AD plants, milking parlours and holiday cottages across Shropshire and throughout the UK.
Working in partnership with his clients, he offers advice on how to improve the structure and efficiency of their IT systems, as well as offering PC, laptop support, networking, broadband and wireless, guest Wi-Fi, data backup and cyber security.
Keith says, “It’s hard to believe it’s been sixteen years already! I’d like to thank all our existing clients for their continued support and now, with a renewed drive, I’m looking forward to focusing on developing the business further.”
With a background in farming, if he’s not near a computer, Keith can often be found at ploughing matches, agricultural shows or game fairs.
Phil Coughlan joined RuralTech as an IT consultant at the end of 2022. Based near Christchurch in Dorset, Phil works closely with Keith, offering remote IT support, building machines, installing software, carrying out software & firmware updates, monitoring clients' networks and assisting with new projects.
He brings a wealth of experience which will not only help grow the business but enable RuralTech to continue to deliver outstanding customer service.

Based in Ticehurst in East Sussex, Kate has helped develop the ‘new look’ RuralTech brand. She is responsible for planning, writing and publishing content across various channels, including the RuralTech website, Facebook and Twitter.
Married with three children, Kate loves her life in the Sussex countryside, enjoying daily dog walks and pottering in the garden.
